Returning for its third summer, "A Whale of a Show" kicks off the Museum's "Salt Air Exhibition III" series on Memorial Day Weekend and features the works of local artists curated by Dan Rizzie and Peter Marcelle.
The show is a celebration of the whale, which in the case of the Blue Whale is the largest animal known to ever have existed. It also celebrates the relationship of this magnificent animal to our town, Sag Harbor. This exhibit is also our way of sharing a small part in the collective effort of many to preserve the history and tradition of this animal and Museum. Both treasures that deserve perpetuity.
EXHIBITING ARTISTS: Anna DeMauro, Jamey Ellis, April Gornik, Susan Lazarus, Edwina Lucas, Jill Musnicki, Dan Rizzie, David Slater, Donald Sultan, Barbara Thomas, and John Torreano.
Dan Rizzie will also be signing editions of his brand new book in limited quantities! And the 2015 season "Whale" t-shirt, designed by Mr. Rizzie, will be available to purchase during the evening.
